Bintan and Batam are at the heart of Seven Clean
Seas’ journey. Bintan is our very first project site,
and Batam is our largest today.

For Willow Taylor, a young sustainability advocate based in Batam,
these islands are both home and inspiration. This November, she is
stepping into new territory: running her first half marathon at
the Mandiri Bintan Marathon 2025.

Driven by her passions for ecotourism, rewilding, and ecological restoration,
Willow is turning this personal milestone into an opportunity to protect the
ocean. Her goal is to help safeguard marine ecosystems by raising GBP 500
to support Seven Clean Seas’ plastic recovery projects.
